Griffin Motion, LLC.

Serving the Nanotechnology Industry

For more than a decade, Griffin Motion has been serving a diverse customer base within the nanotechnology field throughout the world. We offer a broad range of motion control systems, from nanopositioning linear stages to multi-axis systems, rotary positioners, and much more—all with nano and micro-motion capabilities.

We are proud to be a trusted partner for a variety of nanotechnology firms, each with their own unique needs and challenges. Our products include standard models and fully customized systems capable of meeting any nanotech customer’s application and envelope requirements. Plus, our responsive team is fully available to the customer from the earliest stages of product consultation through production, delivery, installation, commissioning, and ongoing support.

Products for Value-Added MEMS

Microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) have proliferated over the past few years, especially when it comes to gyroscopes and accelerometers. These cost-effective sensors can be found in everything from video game controllers to cars, cameras, quadcopter drones, and beyond. But, these MEMS gyroscopes need precise calibration, performance validation, and error mapping to deliver the most accurate and reliable readings. With rotary and mutli-axis positioning systems from Griffin Motion, this process becomes a facilitated value-add, allowing our customers to get more out of their MEMS inertial sensors in any application.

Proven Nano-Precision

Unlike many of our competitors, when we send a nanopositioning stage to a customer, it’s shipped with a copy of the product’s test result data. Rather than reporting theoretical values for precision, accuracy, and reliability when it comes to key performance values like minimum step size and positioning resolution, we give our customers the real-world numbers. This way, we completely remove the guesswork from determining how our stages will operate in a nanotechnology application, as theoretical performance figures can’t always be achieved in practical application settings.
