Engineering & Design
At Griffin Motion, we have a diverse, experienced in-house engineering team capable of designing and developing your product. Our team is well versed in designing and producing products for high vacuum, extreme temperature gradients, harsh environments, and cleanrooms, understanding the acute challenges and requirements for each need and industry. The team uses SolidWorks Premium 3D CAD and COSMOS Professional software to maximize designs and evaluate component thermal and strain properties for improved product performance. By utilizing this state-of-the-art software, we’re able to minimize time to market and increase your product’s life and performance.
Manufacturing
In 2008, we added in-house machining to our capabilities. We couldn’t find vendors that could keep up with what we needed when we needed it. Now we have full control of our parts in our machine shop. We use Mori-Seiki machining and turning centers to maximize accuracy, and we now proudly make high-quality, high-precision parts on time and to the most detailed specifications.
Assembly
One aspect of Griffin’s process that sets us apart is our assembly techniques. We invest a good deal of time and resources in developing assembly fixtures, tooling, and written procedures. For our OEM customers, “Copy Exact” product requirements are a priority. Our dedication to thoroughness ensures our customers get the highest quality products that meet all promised criteria.
Test & Certification
We utilize the latest, cutting-edge technology for calibration of our XY stages from one of the world leaders in metrology. Our Renishaw ML10 Gold Standard Laser interferometer, Renishaw RX10 rotary calibrator, and supporting optics offer full characterization of our stages before shipment. We work closely with our customers when developing our testing protocols, and every one of our products shipped is tested to guarantee conformance to required specifications.
